This treatment is an effective, long-lasting, and gradual, non-surgical, cosmetic injectable treatment used to reshape the face and sculpt the body.

The treatment uses a prescription medicine to cause lipolysis, emulsify fat cells, reduces their number of unwanted fats that cannot be removed with weight loss.

The most common area is:

  • Chin
  • Abdomen
  • Thighs, hips, saddle bags, love handles, flanks, buttocks, arms, neck, jowls and lower third of the face

Your consulting medical professional will determine how many treatments you need based on the amount of excess fat and your personal treatment goal. .

The treatment takes as little as 30 minutes, and you should be able to return your usual activities immediately. Some areas require compression garments to be worn afterward.

A medical grade numbing cream is applied 20 minutes prior to the procedure for client comfort. Pain is also managed with application of ice before and during the procedure.

We recommend, Loratadine 10mg the morning of the treatment and for 3-5 days afterwards.

Ibuprofen 400mg can be taken 1 hour prior to the treatment, and three times a day post-procedure.

Swelling is expected and my persist for several weeks. Swelling can be reduced by using cold packs and by wearing the recommended compression clothing.

Small amounts of the medicine are injected across several locations in the area to be treated. The chin is the most common area and generally, approximately 20 injections are given per treatment in one session.

The treatment is designed to destroy fat cells and once these cells are destroyed and the effects are permanent unless you put on significant weight.

Any additional treatment sessions required are spaced a minimum of 4- 6 weeks apart.

Patients often see an improvement after 2 – 4 treatments. The treatment can be repeated every 4 weeks for up to 6 treatments or until the desired result has been achieved.

Excess fat under the chin is the most common area treaded. This excess fat can be found in all body types, caused by genetics, age or weight gain. Anyone who is bothered by their double chin may be eligible for treatment.

Patients typically require 2 – 4 treatments, with a minimum of 4 weeks between treatments, depending on the amount of excess fat present. No more than 6 treatments can be administered to a particular area.

This is not a one-off treatment. Follow-up appointments to monitor your results and progress are mandatory.

The most common side effects are experienced after the procedure, this includes, burning, pain, stinging and tenderness. Discomfort diminishes after an hour; however local tenderness may continue for 24-48 hours post treatment.

Ice/cold packs may be applied to the area to relieve pain and/or swelling/bruising.
